Craftsmanship
It all starts with the undercoat of the Capra Hircus goat, on the high plateaus of Inner Mongolia. The animal lives there between -50°C and +45°C. Its fibre draws its qualities from that: fine, light, insulating, it regulates temperature rather than simply keeping you warm, and stays supple without losing strength.
The down is combed by hand in spring, then sorted lock by lock. Only the long, fine fibres are kept. They are spun, twisted, knitted, and the pieces are linked together.
All our cashmere is certified to The Good Cashmere Standard, and every component is tested to Oeko-Tex Standard 100. Colour comes afterwards. The quality of the yarn cannot be made up for later. The designs are drawn in France.

Certifications and traceability
The Good Cashmere StandardAn independent standard governing the treatment of the goats, herd health and herders' conditions. Our yarns are checked against this framework.
Oeko-TexEvery component of the garment is tested for harmful substances: the yarn, the dye, the label and the seams.
100% Mongolian cashmereThe yarn comes from Inner Mongolia, where the goats live semi-free. The down is combed by hand in spring, then sorted lock by lock.
Ethically madeManufacturing that respects people and animals, at every stage of production.
Ultra-soft feelLong, fine fibres selected for incomparable softness and lasting shape, season after season.
Colours
This is where we part ways with the others. Raw cashmere exists in grey, brown and white. We start from white, the one that takes every shade.
The fibre is stock-dyed, before spinning: the colour reaches the core of the fibre rather than sitting on top of it. That is what allows vivid tones without the knit losing its softness.
Each season counts more than 100 colours. Some come back, others pass through only once.

Care
Good news: cashmere likes water. Hand wash, lukewarm water, mild soap, never fabric softener. Press, do not wring. Dry flat, store folded, never on a hanger. Between wears, let the piece breathe for two or three days.
Pilling appears where the fabric rubs: a cashmere comb removes it, and it becomes rarer with each wash. A cedar ball in the wardrobe takes care of moths.
